Fruitz Profile Tips: Master French Gen-Z Intention Dating 2026

Fruitz’s fruit-based intention system changes how a profile reads. Learn how to build yours around what you are actually looking for: fruit, bio, photos and first message.

A good Fruitz profile starts with the fruit that matches what you want right now, then backs it up with recent photos, a short specific bio and an easy first message. Fruitz is still running: Bumble announced a closure in February 2025, but the co-founders bought the app back later that year.

Why Fruitz is different

On most apps you find out what someone wants after a few messages. On Fruitz you say it up front by choosing a fruit, so everyone you match with knows the kind of connection you are open to. That only works if your fruit, photos and bio tell the same story.

A quick status note, because many articles are out of date: Bumble, which bought Fruitz in 2022, said in February 2025 that it would discontinue the app. By September 2025 the three co-founders had bought Fruitz back, and the app was still being updated in 2026.

Choosing your fruit: the foundation

These meanings come from the app’s own store description. An earlier version of this page described some of them wrongly; check the explanation in your app too, because wording can change.

FruitWhat it means on FruitzPick it if…
🍒 CherryLooking for a relationshipyou want to meet someone for the long run.
🍇 GrapeEasy-going dates without pressureyou want to meet people and see where it goes.
🍉 WatermelonSomething casual ("fruits with benefits")you want something light and recurring, without a relationship.
🍑 PeachOne night togetheryou are looking for a one-off encounter.

Choosing authentically

  • Pick the fruit for what you want now, not for the one you think gets more matches.
  • Revisit it when your situation changes, so your profile stays honest.
  • Read the other person’s fruit before you like them: a mismatch is a polite no in advance.

Writing your Fruitz bio

Your fruit already says what you are looking for. The bio’s job is to show who you are and give someone something to answer. Keep it short, specific and true.

  • One real detail: a hobby, a place you love, something you are learning.
  • One sentence about the kind of time you want to share: it should match your fruit.
  • One hook: a question or a playful claim someone can reply to.

Bio examples by fruit

Cherry: "Architecture student in Lyon, happiest at a flea market on Sunday morning. Looking for someone to build real routines with. What is the last thing you bought second-hand?"

Grape: "New in Bordeaux and testing every bakery within walking distance. Up for a drink and a good conversation, no pressure. Which one should I try next?"

Watermelon: "Night-shift nurse with odd free afternoons. Looking for something light and honest. Tell me your best low-effort plan."

Peach: "Direct, respectful and clear about what I am here for. Say hi with your favourite song of the moment."

Replace every detail with your own. A bio copied word for word sounds like everyone else’s.

Profile photo strategy for Fruitz

Lead with a recent solo portrait where your face is easy to see, then add a full-body photo, a real activity, a social moment and a different setting. The tone can follow your fruit: warmer and more everyday for Cherry or Grape, more confident for Watermelon or Peach, but always recognisable and within the app’s rules. Our Fruitz photo guide covers the full lineup.

Opening questions and first messages

A match on Fruitz is called a "smoothie". Instead of a blank "hey", the app lets you start the chat with one of its ready-made questions; its store listing describes hundreds of them, from harmless to very personal. Pick one that fits your fruit and the other person’s profile, or write your own opener about a detail they shared.

  • Refer to something specific from their photos or bio.
  • Ask one question, not three.
  • Keep the tone consistent with both your fruits.
  • If the conversation stalls, a polite goodbye beats silence.

Premium and Golden: what you actually get

Fruitz is free to download and use. According to its App Store listing:

  • Fruitz Premium: unlimited likes, Pollen (a boost that moves your profile to the top) and daily Crushnotes.
  • Fruitz Golden: everything in Premium, plus filtering by fruit, seeing who has picked you and an incognito mode where only people you liked can see you.

Prices depend on the country and the subscription length and are shown in the app. A paid boost only pays off once your first photo and bio are strong, so fix those first.

Safety and privacy

  • The store listing says reported profiles are banned permanently, so report anyone who pressures or insults you.
  • You can stop your Facebook contacts from seeing your profile, according to the app’s description.
  • Keep your address, workplace and daily routine out of photos and bio.
  • Meet in a public place and tell a friend where you are going.

Common Fruitz profile mistakes

  • Choosing a fruit that does not match what you want.
  • Photos or a bio that contradict your fruit.
  • A blank bio, or one that only lists your height and job.
  • Only group photos, or photos several years old.
  • Copying an example bio without changing a single detail.

Using The Ultimate Profile for Fruitz

If your photos are dark, old or all selfies, The Ultimate Profile can generate realistic photos from your own pictures. Keep only the ones that look exactly like you today and that do not show places or activities you have never been part of.
